ok this is a little issue I have had with all my A7N8X bases boards. Every time I use a DDR ram that is rated higher than the chip( like a 2100 with a 133fsb and say DDR 400 aka 200fsb) it's won't show the post. I stick in some PC2100 and it will post. then I save the bios settings and restart it with the DDR 400 and everything is fine. I have had 4 A7N8X boards and they all do this with every bios revision. Do I just have to keep matching up the fsb of hte chip to a stick of ram that matches up to get it to post first every time or is there was way to keep the bios from reading the ram SPD and freeking out when i use ram rated way over the fsb of the chip?

"Auto" will read the RAM properties from the SPD data on the DIMM. If the board's BIOS is well written, it should choose a sane speed below or at the DIMM's maximum capabilities.
If it doesn't, you need to kick the thing into manual mode and select something that works.
