I wanted use their popular weekend rental special at $9.99/day. I had made a reservation well ahead of time but it seems that they ran out. The only car they had left was the X type and the honored the original quote. Usually, Enterprise is not a very reliable company (they seem like the uhaul of the rental car business) but on this instance, I can't complain. :)

Don't have a digicam so I can't post any photos. But, it is one sweet ride. My only other car has been a 1992 Geo Prizm and so I am enjoying every minute of this. I guess you get what you pay for.

I'm mad because my sister-in-law quit working for Enterprise recently so no more family discount for me.

The X-type is like the pedophile uncle of Ford's luxury car lineup. It's pretending to be old and mature like a real Jaguar, but it's really just a nasty little kid with loose parts and all sorts of health problems.

Nice.

I had an 8 day rental from Hertz and reserved a Taurus with the neverlost system from the Phoenix airport. Got in and they didn't have an Tauruses with the neverlost. Instead I got the 4.2L V8 Jaguar S-Type.

$42 a day. :D

*NEVER* invoke UHaul with regard to Enterprise rent a car. They may suck, but they don't suck on the caliber that UHaul sucks. I've never seen a rental car flaming in the median strip, and they generally aren't even delapidated pieces of junk. Even UHaul's best trucks are messed up.

I have a good friend who is a regional vice president for Enterprise...unfortunately he moved to Calgary and I can't get special rental rates anymore. I rented a Lexus GS300 and a Lexus SC300 from him on different occassions. Nice cars and I think I paid about $40 for the weekend.

The SC was really nice. I liked that car quite a bit.
