i Have a firewall!?? :S

Many programs are saying i have a firewall... the onnly thing that is close 2 a firewall is Norton antivirus but that shouldn't be a problem.. How do i check if i have a firewall or not ... I haf windows xp

-do you have a router? you may have a firewall built in.

-if not, right click on my network places and go to properties. Right click on LAN and go to properties. Click on advanced tab.
Is there a check on the first box, if so, you have a firewall.

-Other then that, if u think you have a firewall, its a program being run somewhere, if not, then you have no firewall.

It's also possible your ISP (if you're on a high-speed connection) is running some sort of firewall (blocking certain ports, etc.) on their end. Try posting in the Networking forum with more details on your setup; you'll probably get better replies there.
