i did a google search, and there wasnt much, except people asking the same question you did. but, what little i did find indicated that it is spyware. just run a scan.
Thanks to all for assistance. There has never been any Borland software on this computer. I have used many Spyware programs and clean my machine often but nothing has indicated "tadvchecklist" is spyware - but it seemed strange in the Registry.
Thanks again.
If you feel you are pretty comfortable with messing in the registry I highly suggest using jv16 PowerTools 1.4 (1.4.1.248). I've used this program for years and never had a problem once. You can use one of the options to just look for invalid entries, then select all of them and it will remove them.
Worse case scenario if there was something that was messed up by mistake with the removal of a entry, just go to the backups folder, click the reg file and enter the keys back into the registry, so you always keep the backup to make sure things are clean and ok then later can throw away.
DasFox
I have checked the registry with easycleaner2.0 and ccleaner and everything that shows up has been cleaned. None of my spyware picks this up so maybe it's ok.
Thanks
