1) Create a separate and unique e-mail address for the following using gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc.
2) Either create an account on slickdeals.net or login to your account. If you're registering for an account use the unique e-mail address you just created.
3) Visit their
Deal Alerts and setup deal alerts for the individual products and/or merchants you'd like to monitor. Remember less is more. If you make the mistake I did and setup an alert for "Amazon" you will receive about 15 e-mails an hour, every hour.
If any Hot Deals ninjas here are very well versed in SD's deal alerts I would love to hear from you. At the bottom underneath Notification Method, I would recommend selecting e-mail and instant.
4) If you have a smart phone, login to this new e-mail account you created, enable push notification and check e-mail frequently. Of course this isn't foolproof if you receive an e-mail alert while you're in the shower or sleeping, you may miss out on a hot deal. If there is a product you REALLY want and don't mind being interrupted, you could setup an alert when certain e-mails are received, create an audible alert. Just be aware it may wake you at 2:30 AM or interrupt you at work at 1:00 PM.
I also don't have time to monitor hot deals 24/7, using SD's deal alerts I'm able to react relatively quickly when a new deal pops up.
Finally if you're a CostCo member or know someone who is, they have several great deals on bluetooth speakers in the $20 - $40 price range.
