I have a e6320, would it be a wise move to upgrade to the e6550 or e6750?

I have a E6320 and I am going Small Form Factor. I was thinking w/ heat being the biggest issue with SFF , Overclocking my e6320 vs a stock e6550 or e6750 might be a better option? Considering I can upgrade to a 6550 for approx $40 more and $70 for a 6750.
I would appreciate your imput.
Thanks

your not counting the cost of the cpu.

You cant say its 40 or 70 more when you already have the cpu. You would need to buy a new cpu, which would run you 220-260 dollars.

The upgrade is not worth it. If your not going to push the upper limits of OCing, which would require you to get a much larger case, with bigger heat sinks, then that small increase something not financially sound.

If your doing it for the fun factor, thats reason alone. But if your asking for a noticible increase, your better off going with more ram, or a better video card. Maybe a quieter and more efficient PSU would also be a better choice.

Average top speed for these chips will be 3.5GHz. Low end is probably 3.2GHz. That's nothing to lose sleep over. Stick with the old CPU.

You dont say if you are getting a mATX mobo or already have one. I'm going to assume you are getting a matx mobo. If so, get one that will allow you to overclock your existing 6320. The two top OCing matx mobos currently are the GA G33M-DS2R and the ASUS P5K-VM. Get the best hsf you can that'll fit your new SFF case and overclock that 6320. You should be able to get 3GHz-3.2GHz. That puts you well above a stock e6750.This should give you plenty of good gaming for a while. Later on if you feel the need for something with more power you can get a more powerful dualcore or a quadcore with one of the two mobos I mentioned. You wont have to upgrade the mobo neither.

I am expecting delivery of a GA G33M-DS2R Friday to go w/ my 6320. I have a Silverstone SG-01 and Silverstone NT-06 lite heatsink.
