I have a dumb question...

So, I filled up a 1 gallon gas tank and put it in my trunk this evening on my way home from work. That was around 6:00PM. I just remembered this fact right now at 2:20AM. Any risk of igniting fumes if I pop my trunk remotely?

*flame suit ON!* 😀

Naw, some people carry gas around in their trunks all the time. The stuff really isn't as dangerous as it's made out to be.

Very little chance, what's the ambient temperature?

There is a very, very remote chance that if the temperature is very high then a small spark could occur when the boot latch opens (it acts as a ground for the light switch in the boot) igniting the fuel. The odds of this are very small.
