Yup, well actually it's a little bulge about the size of half a gumball sticking out on the sidewall of my front left tire that gets bigger everytime I check it.

It probably came from the time when I performed my slam brakes, steer left, screech tires, burn rubber combo to avoid an accident.

So how much longer is that tire good for?

It's not good at all anymore. Get a new tire ASAP, you're risking a blowout on the freeway as it is.

Not very long. I've seen that happen before to tires. I think its a weak spot in the sidewall. Anyway, not real safe to be driving on it. I would replace it ASAP, you never know when it will blow out.

It will work fine until its integrity is necessary to keep the occupants alive in a critical situation.

Retire that tire, you won't know until it's too late.

get it changed immediately. dont wanna ruin your rims and axle if they decided to spontaneuosly rupture into tiny pieces of rubber.. especially going very fast on the freeway.

It will probably last until the next time you have to perform your slam brakes, steer left, screech tires, burn rubber combo to avoid an accident routein

or 10,000 miles which ever comes first..........:D

Couple years ago, me and my friend were going up north with my dad in his fairly new truck. The front left tire had a small bubble in it, and wouldnt ya know, we had a blow out doing about 70 and flew into the other lane. Luckily no one was beside us. And about a month later, the axle started to have problems, dont know if it was related or not.

darnit, these tires are pretty new too. 1 year, about 10,000 miles. DOH!
i'll check with Pirelli to see what they have to say about it.
probably can't do much because I bought it from an online dealer.

heh, i guess i've been pretty lucky. the bump's been there for almost half a year until it got noticeably bigger.
I've done 90+ mph trips for 200 miles at a time during that stretch.

I guess i'll drive my sister's car around this winter break until I can get it replaced.

When you notice some anomaly on a tire it's always to your advantage to go back to the dealer as soon as possible. Your warranty is usually pro-rata meaning the more tread depth you have, the bigger settlement you get.
Tires are made to be perfectly round...no little bulges or bubbles.

when i had tire probs with my new car, i couldnt go back to the dealer. tires are covered by the tire manufacturer.. not the car dealer. or maybe that's just hondas and lexus and volvos, from what i know?

It considerd a defective tire. It should be replaced for a new one.

Pirelli is a good manufacture they should replace it for you.

I had the same thing happen once with a tire it blew out on me. Waited to long to take it in.

Your rollin the dice everytime you drive on it.

I had a friend that had a little bulge. We called it a "tumor".

Anyways, my guess is that you've torn some ply in your tire. I'm guessing you have a 2 or 4 ply tire...so I'd replace it as soon as possible. And until then, avoid curbs and such other impact.

Pirelli should replace it free of charge since it appears to be a manufacturing defect, it makes no difference if you bought it on-line or not. Take it to any retail Pirelli outlet, and they should get you fixed up in no time.
