laptop at PC2700(DDR pc2700).. my new laptop (dell 6000) is using, i believe pc 3200 (DDR2 400MHz)..

can i put a stick of the pc2700 in the dell?

nope, as the new dell is ddr2, will have a different pin count and socket to start so wouldnt think ( i guess tho i havent seen a ddr2 sodimm slot) also the ddr2 isnt compatible with ddr1, i.e the way they send the data is different, ddr= twice per clock cycle, ddr2 is 4 four times, i think again, i could however be embarrasingly wrong
