I have a Cold... in my eye!

This morning I woke up with my left eye matted shut. Once I got it open, it was itchy and bloodshot. I figured I got Pink Eye. So I when to the clinic to get some drops, but they told me it wasn't Pink Eye. It was actually the virus that causes Colds, except it infected my EYE!

And to make matters worse, there's nothing they can give me to make it go away or relieve the itching. I just have to tough it out for 3-5 days. The only thing that helps is taking a cool, damp wash rag and holding it to my eye. Work tomorrow will be interesting - me sitting at my computer holding a wet rag to my head...

It's also highly contagious... which means that if I rub my eye and then poke you in your eye, you might get it as well...

yup, that's me right now. If I don't have a wash rag on my eye, it's more comfortable to just have it closed.
Plus, everything is blurry out of that eye. I have mucus or some kind of film covering that eye.

I bet I get asked if I got in a fight tomorrow at school & work. My eye is all red and bloodshot and the tissue around my eye is all red from rubbing it.

Haha! No roommate for the time being. In about a month I'm moving in with the first roommate I've had in ~3 years. Luckily, it's a girl roommate.

anyways, when my eyes itch w/ pink eye, i rub 'em in epson salt water...it's pure relief....i love the feeling of salt going at it into your eye to relieve that annoying itch

but man, the cold virus infecting an eye?..is that common?...
