Dont know that board, but most good BX boards can use a Celeron or PIII right up to the 1 - 1.1 GHz range. 1.1 Celeron (not 1.1A) is a good bang for the $

I may buy the CPU PENTIUM III/CELERON 1.0AGHz for $68 at newegg! It is just as good as the p3 700 right ?

And the retail HSF should be good enough correct ?

Thanks!

No, 'a' = Tulatin which will not work even with BIOS upgrades.

nope, that Celeron 1.2 won't work for you either, because it is a Tualitin as well. You need a Celeron which only has 128kb cache. All the models that have 256kb cache are Tualatin chips, which you cannot use.

If you go to newegg, the fastest chip for you would be:

INTEL PENTIUM III/CELERON 1.1GHz Processor CPU FCPGA 128K L2 Cache 100 MHz Retail Box

it is $78 but not in stock right now. of course, you could always go to another vendor to purchase this chip.

good luck... :)
