The obvious answer is that any DDR400-rated memory should get your to 3200+ level.

You don't say what motherboard you have. I think it's VERY important to check forums for that motherboard to see which make of memory is most compatible with that motherboard, particularly if you wish to o/c above 3200+ level.

I've always been a Corsair fan, but had disappointing o/c results with my 8RDA+, which seems to like any DDRAM with Winbond chips.

Hope this helps!

Umm, any "good" PC3200. I'm using OCZ Performance Series rev 2 running at 400Mhz @ 2-3-3-8, dual channel.

I'm using el-cheapo Samsung DDR400 running at 445FSB. Any PC3200\DDR400 should do the trick. It's the luck of the draw.

The point is that Corsair makes good memory - and the 8RDA+ is a good board - but they don't play well together. The problem is not quality, the problem is compatability.

My Corsair TWINX 3200C2 ($144@Newegg) was capped at 207MHz with 2/3/3/7 timings. I suspect that the 8RDA+ memory controller just isn't compatible with the memory chips used in the Corsair. I'm not the only 8RDA+ user with this problem with Corsair memory. I suspect it will overclock just fine with boards by other makers.

My BuffaloTech PC3700 ($128 @ Newegg) runs 2/2/2/5 timing to 222MHz, 2.5/2/2/7 to 230MHz. It uses Winbond CH5 chips, and there's the difference.

The point of the suggestion to Darkstar was to avoid a similar board/memory incompatability mistake.

Hope this helps!
