I also got a unlocked duron600 wich setting do i need to use to overlock to let's say 850-900.

Thank you
Ismail

I can't help you with the settings but i have to say, that is one hella-nice system! Nice choices all around. Have fun, wish i could afford a setup like that.

When the stuff i ordered gets delivered tommorow i'll have a similar setup:

Asus A7V (with multiplier switch)
Duron650 (unlocked)
256mb PC133 RAM (CaS2)
GeForce DDR

Regarding the multiplier switch, go here and there's a table with the settings for the dip switch. 2 of the switches are to enable overclocking, the other 4 are for setting the multiplier:

Good luck!

I am interested in hearing how u like the board and how the setup goes

I'm deciding between a Tbird-700 and a P3-700 on an 815e mobo. I have had the cast in my sweaty little hand for a month now(which is a record for me too control the upgrade impulse).

Where are you getting these boards...I'm told the first shipments will not have the multiplier switches.

I'm getting mine from http://www.overclockers.co.uk

They had a batch of 20 Asus A7V's delivered, all with multipliers, and best of all, they don't have crappy onboard audio.

They had a large stock of Duron 650's too, which i also ordered, luckily they got them early so they were all unlocked.

There are loads of places selling Asus A7V's in the UK, but OcUK is the place i know where they sell them knowing that they definately have multiplier switches on them 😉

Isn't it in the instruction manual, I am sure that it was in the one I d/l, I think it was page 18-19

ok guys,

I am now going to try and overclock it again. I first started with 900mhz that was a no go and i also tried 850mhz that was a no go too. I aborted the overclocking and after a friend came i resumed the overclocking i tried 750mhz wich was success but it wouldn't boot too windows so we dumped up the voltage too 1.65. We tried 850 wich was again a no go this time the computer wouldn't boot at al i taught the cpu died and checked everything including setting speed at default 600mhz.i removed all components and tried too boot i gave up. i removed the cpu and check and decided too try agian this time it only showed the v5 5500 startup. it shut down the pc and put it on again and this time it booted i was really happy. Well i am now going too overclock it again and use burn in i will keep you posted.

Current benchmarks at 600 are:

Sisoft sandra

CPU
CPU 1881
FPU 835
