Hi. I am looking to upgrade my video card. My bro needs a new card for his rig and wants mine. What do you think I should upgrade to? I am looking for best performance for the dollar, yet I want to see a good boost in performace over my 7800gt.
Here is my rig.
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego 1MB L2 Cache 2200MHz
Mobo: EPoX EP-9NPA+Ultra, nForce4 Ultra (Socket 939)
Memory: 2GB of OCZ PC3200 @ 2-3-2-5 1T
Video Card: eVGA 7800GT 256MB w/ copper heat sink (#N516) OCed @ 470MHz/1100MHz Nvidia GeForce
Hard drive: Seagate 160.0 GB @ 7200 RPMS (IDE)
Monitor: 22" Widescreen LCD Westinghouse 1680x1050
Any suggestions? I was thinking about this:
eVGA 512-P2-N637-AR GeForce 7950GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 KO Superclocked Video Card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130066
Is this my best bet? I cant spend more than $300
How much performace advantage can i get?
