i have (6) 500mhz hp's

link them together to process seti together....i decided i might as well put them to use running seti, than letting them sit....how would i go about linking them as one...sort of like they do with supercomputers....what distro of linux?

I don't know exactly how to do what you are asking, but it sounds like you want to create a Beowulf cluster.

Wouldn't you simply get more efficient processing just installing the client on each machine and then being credited, yourself, with the points?

Sadly, those are pretty inefficient at running SETI. I still have one P3-500 machine running SETI Classic and it only puts out 2 wu's per day. 🙁

Those would run FaD pretty good, definately better production than SETI. I'd just setup the client on each on and run them individually.
