I have $500 for a motherboard, videocard, and processor

I just said DDR2 Ram since I had already purchased a system for gaming mostly, but I think I fried the motherboard and returned the mobo, processor, and video card. Since newegg no longer carried the video card, They game me a refund on everything for some reason. So now I have 500 dollars to spend on a new motherboard, videocard, and processor.

Here's my suggestion, for a gaming / overclocking build:

ASUS P5B-Deluxe P965 Express - $183
Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 - $184
eVGA Geforce 7600GT PCI-E - $120 after MIR
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro - $30
Arctic Silver 5 - $6
Total: $523

It comes to a little bit over $500, but it's money well spent. The P5B-Deluxe and E6300 are both well-known overclockers. The Freezer 7 Pro and AS5 will keep your processor cool if you're overclocking. The 7600GT was all I could fit into the budget.

If you're NOT planning on overclocking, I'd suggest eliminating the Freezer 7 Pro, and upgrading to an E6400. If you can drain a little more out of your wallet, upgrade to a 7900GS or 7900GTO (if you can find one). An X1950Pro would also be a good option.

They have a 7900GS for only 20 bucks for, and could I downgrade that mobo to a GIGABYTE GA-965P-DS3 and get basically the same results?
