I have 500 bucks to upgrade my rig.

The rig is in my sig, Rigalingus.
I'm parting out a socket 754 rig and I'll have about 500 bucks to burn.
What are some good upgrade options?

Is there something that it's not doing well enough now?
Hell, no.
Does that really factor?

How's about a sound card? Anything better than the Turtle beach to drive the Klipsches?

Your rig is pretty stacked, I can't think of much else

Maybe sell the GTO2 for $200, and SLI a couple of 7800gtx's

I swear to God I have no idea what that thing is you showed me. :embarrassed;
A couple 7800's would be nice, wouldn't they?
I just finished cod2 and it looked great.
I would like to have a little more ass for FEAR, but 700 bucks is kind of painful for a touch more eye candy.
I could swing it if I sell the gto2 and throw the 500 bucks at it...

I suggest if you want two gigs get faster RAMS that are 2 DIMM as oppose to 4. Get 2GB (2x1GB). Either OCZ or Corsair.

Thats a phase change cooling unit, which allows you to run sub-zero CPU temps and increase your overclock substantially, you can get some mad overclocks with one of those. 3ghz or better most likely on your 3800+. But if gaming is your thing, dual 7800's would make for a bigger performance increase.

Does it matter? To me it would.

Soundcard - yeah, you could get a basic X-Fi card for around $100 or less.

Hm...an X-fi Elite Pro plus a WD raptor to serve as the new system drive?

Or also better cooling to get the clockrate on your CPU higher (as in the Mach I thing that was linked to...it's a phase-change CPU cooling unit).

Any suggestions on a model or brand?
I have wanted to upgrade my ram to two 1gb sticks.
I could do that and a new sound card.
Storage is always an option and a raptor (which I've never owned) is a nice idea.

Unless you need the special connections the higher end models have, the basic X-Fi Xtreme Music seems like the best bet right now. I think Best Buy might have the best deal on it now for under $100.

Phase Change is a pretty awesome idea. It will definately still be useful if your ever overclocking a dual-core chip.
