I laughed!

How tall are you that you need to weigh 160 to fit into a suit?

maybe that is plan B

Plan B is rent a tux and make my groomsmen rent tuxes vs wearing a suit. Fiancee would prefer non-zombie wedding party.

do you want to have a competition?
I am on the same mission, but I dont have a timeline. However, this will make it interesting and offer added motivation.

Im 160 though, 5'6... so its a little harder for me to drop 12.5%

Our company is starting a Biggest Loser contest next week

Uhhh. I'm 6' and 170 pounds. No way you are dropping 20 pounds on that frame in 45 days in any healthy manner.

6' and 160 is a rail. Getting to 170 shouldn't be too bad, but those extra 10 pounds will not come off easily given the time you have to work with.

negative calorie foods are bullshit, some people are so f'ing gullible. Hey, when something sounds to good to be true it is!

Why not have a "Star Trek" themed wedding and have a Betazoid wedding where everyone comes naked? That way you don't have to worry about fitting in a suit.

There's some merit to foods high in fiber. The fiber isn't digestible and it "pulls" other stuff along with it.

I have no muscle. Seriously I can't even bench 100 lbs. I wouldn't mind gaining muscle and losing 10 lbs (as long as I shrink my gut and fit in my effin suit).

I would run that by my fiancee but I think the response would be a  and then a  and then a walk away.

Yikes, 6', 180 lbs is perfectly healthy. Crash dieting to lose 20 lbs off of that frame is an awful idea.

Well I'm going to guess that you need to get rid of a bit of a gut. First don't waste time doing crunches, that won't do it. Do a good amount of cardio with some weight lifting, I suggest squatting and deadlifting (but please make sure you use proper form), those two exercises are very taxing.

As for the cardio, you can try High intensity interval training (HIIT), Supposedly it results in burning more calories overall. I can't say it if it works from personal experience since I have very low BF% as it is but I hear it works. It's basically doing a combination of sprinting for 2 mins, normal speed for 2 mins, and alternate like that (time intervals vary). Good Luck

6ft? 6ft and 180 is probably about right, maybe loose 10lbs and get a new suit. Even with cardio I think you're going to have a tough time, you're just going to build back muscle and not loose.

I basically gained 20 lbs since May. I used to work out semi-regularly and kept 160 lbs. I just got really busy (*ahem lazy*) and gained the weight.

Plan: small portions, greens no dressing, no sugars, minimal fats, extreme cardio.

Day 1 - 1/11/08 - 180 lbs.

Breakfast: half a bagel, coffee black.
Lunch: TBD
Dinner TBD
Exercise: TBD

You'd have to be in a caloric deficit of 1500 cals/day to loose 20 lbs in 45 days.

that's a tough goal, esp since you're not that heavy. try low carb.
