Me: 6 ft tall
I basically gained 20 lbs since May. I used to work out semi-regularly and kept 160 lbs. I just got really busy (*ahem lazy*) and gained the weight.

Plan: small portions, greens no dressing, no sugars, minimal fats, extreme cardio.

Day 1 - 1/11/08 - 180 lbs.

Breakfast: half a bagel, coffee black.
Lunch: Chirashi, left most of the rice in the bowl, ate all the sashimi.
Dinner TBD
Exercise: TBD

well, considering the maximum amount you can lose is 5 pounds a week in a healthy fashion, you should have no problems

0.5 lbs a day? Impossible! Unless you do 4-5 hours of solid cardio and don't mind losing a lot of muscle. Still unhealthy.

If you were quite obese it would be possible without too much risk. But you already weigh 180lbs o_O. Anyway, the diet used by one hollywood star to look like a concentration camp victim was a can of tuna and 1 apple per day. My guess is you wont make it.

I don't understand. Why not just get a suit that fits. I can understand wanting to lose weight in general but this kind of rush for a wedding is ridiculous. To each their own though.

you can for sure do it. i lost weight without even trying by not having any extra money to spend on fast food.

i also stayed at a holiday inn express last year, twice.

How tall are you that you need to weigh 160 to fit into a suit?

That's what I'm thinking.

If you are 350 pounds you can drop 20 pounds with a healthy bowel movement and a light bit of exercise.

But at 180 that's over 10% of your body weight.

eat rice and celery. Celery has a negative caloric intake (it takes more energy to digest it than it has) and rice is a good way to feel full (low calories and no protein so you won't get big).

I hope this thread is a joke for the OPs sake.

How about you plan to lose 5-10 lbs if you are overweight and just get a new suit

do you want to have a competition?
I am on the same mission, but I dont have a timeline. However, this will make it interesting and offer added motivation.

Im 160 though, 5'6... so its a little harder for me to drop 12.5%

How tall are you? As vi already said, dropping 20 lbs in 40 days is no big deal if you weigh 350. At 180, it'll be a lot harder unless you're 5 feet tall.

Dude, no. NO. You can't lose 5 pounds per week healthily unless you already weigh like 400 pounds. 1-2 pounds per week at most.
