Hmm well it CAN make quite a bit of difference if you don't have a lot of RAM - as long as it keeps you from swapping to hdd it's good. What the thread doesn't mention is that the less you have running, the more stable your sys will be 🙂 I usually have ~25 processes running at bootup.
Link?
Common sense?

Common sense told me that turning off all of those services and whatnot would make the system score better in benchmarks. It didn't quite work out that way...

I hope my thread is not getting out of hand here....I'm just asking for some help . Nothing more, nothing less.

But what you want to do most likely won't be helpful. If you have specific services that you know you're not using, you can of course disable them, but chances are they won't affect gaming performance at all.

Yeah of course, I would rather have a fast boot up

I got a laptop back from bestbuy (after repairs) and surprised it has 30 processes running instead of 48 :Q ! I'm amazed, so I would like to do the same for my gaming rig 😛

Any replies are appreciated.

I would be more concerned about why only 30 were running instead of trying to figure out how to get your 48 down there.

WTF did they do to your laptop? If they shut off system restore points or some crap I would be quite upset.
