OMG THE ENDING =_=!!!!

WTF is up with this game. I don't know WHY i landed in that world, WHY I WAS FIGHITNG 1/2 THE TIME...I feel liek i was killing just to stay alive and because I never had a chance to sit down and ask quesions myself b/c i was always tossed left and right. omg omg omg omg omg omg wtf is going on i wanna knoe!!!

The most :secret: info i found was flying the mud skipper and finding a electrical monster thing in a sewer hole that i guess i wasn't supposed to notice..itoo bad it was radioactive and i lost like 1/2 my life that way...but i learned a LOT from his cryptic messages. I guess that old fat arse in the first game was controlling all the aliens and "the free man" gave them control over their bodies once more...but there was another "level" that freeman is supposed to free them from....

And then WTF at the end? Bree giving a new body? I was thinking maybe that was the Suitcause Man walking around was an alien who needed a new body to interact with earth...but nope apparantly he is another entity...
oh gosh

and to top it all off, the end made it sound like i was a pawn of the suitcase man just sitting in some abyssal void to be called upon to do some deed and then BAM back to my "hole"....

does anyone have info, or a site that tries to make sense of this? I've tried to think on a lot of parts but I can't figure much out beyond tid bits here and there...help anyone??????????

...seroiusly....it doesn't say exactly what I was doing at black mesa (though it seems some kinda of teleportation method) in the first game...and why all the sudden aliens are on my side...and why its only speciific aliens on my side. Where these "troopers" are coming from (the citadel would tke ppl stick them in the machines brainwash and bam troops? Or are they aliens themselves because i remeber in th ebeginning that they didn't sound all too human)....oy vey it reeked of star wars..........

but nottttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttthing makes sense to me

nothhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhing

or do you play thru a second time adn the game registers that u beat it and gives a little more hints, b/c there were some plcaes i wasn't able to get in the first time

eitherway...the last game i bought was AOE2 and that was AGESSS ago. beond that i jut borrowed from my friends or played demos (lived off of UT2K3 demo for over a yera w00t w00t) but halflife 2 is definitely worth the money

i just hate knowing so little@!!!! loll..... i just wanna know more!!! and i don't wanna wait seven more years to find out lol

edit:

I also noticed everyone is either white...black...or alien...

i guess the combine killed all the other races first ;)

What you've just said.. is one of the most insanely idiotic things I've ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response was there anything that could even be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Agreed. I refuse to respond to his post until he learns the grammar and syntax of the language, and can communicate with the rest of us humans.

actually I LOVED the ending (just beat it last night) Its one of the greatest cliff hangers of all freaking time. ESPECIALLY in a video game. There is NO freakign question that HL3 will be announced "soon" (E3 likley I'd guess) and that Valve has the story line and possibly a good portion of the game already mapped out.

I just sat there jaw dropped wanting more and more... I think it was BRILLIANT of Valve. The HL franchise is now as good as a movie franchise

They'll probably do an expansion pack or two before working on HL3

I agree you should read it. I hated the way that nothign was explained in HL2, but after reading that I have a new repect for the game. Everything makes since, and makes me want to replay them again.

I suggest you read Nineteen Eighty-Four, by George Orwell. It sort of gets you into the atmosphere. For me, it sort of gave me a connection to the resistance. There are a lot of allsuions in HL to this book. It's a great read.

Right. Should only be another 7 years and a couple visits to E3 away. :)

Hahahah guys...its called "4:30 AM when I've been awake for 25 hours and just beat Halflife 2". True, it probably isn't TOO coherent to any degree ;)

As for 1984. Great book~ read it last summer and I too thought of it. Especially when I exited the city and saw another "television" in the courtyard. Before then I thought that was just in the "airport" which is okay since its the airport and I've seen things like that before to a degree (well...not as extreme but this is a game so of course things are always skewed a little more). But seeing that thing outside just freaked me out because it was then I erally realized the extent of what was going on.

Yeah I read the thing that was posted...interesting!! Although I find parts of it hard to beleive. Now I want to go black and play opposing force and blue shift and the first halflife once more (though if i play the first 1/2 life it is with cheats).

Oh on another note: the first halflife took me approximately a MONTH of continous play to beat, whereas HL2 took me just two days. Now I know you are thinking "DUH you played nonstop!!" ; yes i did play nonstop, but I was addicted to HL that much and probably played around 5 hours a day (no less than two though) before I beat it.

random: Eh, either way thinking about the story makes me realize its great for a game...but if the writer of the story turned it into a book I get the feeling I'd be slightly dissapointed ;)

edit:/

When I say I hated the ending...its more of a hate of "after playing 20 hours I still BARELY understood why I was there, what was going on, why I'm just taking orders without thinking of who or what they came from". As for the ending, it was more of a "holy @#$" rather than anything else. IT just irks me how I'm never really allowed an option to listen to what went on...
