Bah. I used to repair students' computers when I was in college. Was not uncommon to find 10,000 items in Ad-Aware and several hundred instance of viri.

maybe the gov and comp manufacturer's should implement a licence program for new computer purchaser. Like a driver license, you have to pay a fee and pass the test before you are allowed to buy a computer..

then distribute the money to the poor

Nice idea, but they'd have to use the European driver license as example then, rather than the US license which you get if you can find the gas pedal and don't kill more than 6 people when hitting it.

LOL, I like when people get on my computer and say "Where's the internet?" noting my lack of IE. I have to tell them, "It's the red O".

Doesn't the European Drivers test consist mainly of driving in reverse, especially when a BMW, Mercedes or Porche is coming towards you?

You could not do that, it would hinder sales of computers by about 90% and then companies like microsoft would go under!!
