I hate when my daughter sneaks up on me

I have a 2 year old, and she tends to wake up at night. I am a night owl, and after she, the wife, and our new baby boy are all asleep, I get some quality computer time in.

When my daughter wakes up, I usually hear her whimpering a bit when she comes into the computer room to find me. She's not really awake, and crawls up on me and goes back to sleep. I love that. :thumbsup:
She's crashed in my lap right now.

What I hate is, lately she has been simply walking up to me without a sound. The house is dark, nothing on in here but my monitor, and with 2 computers/fans etc, running, I can't hear her coming, but usually she'll bump into something and alert me.

She just came in a second ago, and I didn't notice until she grabbed my arm. Scared the crap out of me.

Anyone else have kids that do stuff like this?

My 22 month old doesn't sleep until 12:30-1:00, so, even being a nght person, I'm usually in bed by then. :)

She's in here right now, going through a milk crate full of peripherals.

That would get me too, but I have a thing about knowing where people are int the room. I always know when the kids are about to attack.

No matter, you have the greatest Chrismas gift, the love and trust of your daughter.

As long as you weren't "one-hand typing", it's all good. BTW, you shouldn't use your computer in the dark. The monitor will destroy your eyesight.

is it just me or do the images of The Exorcist make me want to turn away because its so dull and not scary at all? I think that if I found my little one turn around and the ghost's face in the first 10 min of The Grudge was present, I'd piss and crap in my pants.

yeah, my niece does that to me and my bro at his house, sometimes we are in a creepy part of a game doing co-op and she will just suddenly appear, many friendly fire accidents later we continue on, lol.
