I hate UPS. Delivered my package to... oh wait, nobody knows.

I stayed home all day waiting for a UPS shipment. I just looked at my tracking information online and it said they delivered it to the front desk. WTF? There is no UPS sticker on my door and my house certainly doesn't have a front desk.

I called UPS and asked them what was going on. They said the driver delivered the package somewhere else, but failed to upload the address. And that there is nothing they can do for me. I asked them about insurance and they said the package was delivered so there is nothing they can do about it.

This was a replacement door from Antec for my P180 so I didn't have a choice in shipping company. Argh.

Call up the Antec (I assume you got it from them) and they'll more than likely ship you out a new door tomorrow and handle UPS.

I ordered a motherboard from Newegg 2 weeks ago and it still hasnt shown up. I email newegg and they said UPS just stopped tracking it and they dont know where it is. BUt Newegg is awesome and they are filing a claim on my behalf and offered me a replacement or a full refund.

USPS is so much better - I've had a problem with them maybe once and even then it was very minor.

Fedex still blows by both of those but pricewise eh...USPS Priority = the best.

Some years ago I was building a PC for a pal and UPS delivered the case to a local school three blocks away. The idiots at the school signed for the box containing the case (separate shipments) and dropped it in a corner. I don't remember how I figured out where it was actually delivered (it involved lots of phone calls) but in the end I picked it up from the school myself (I had to FIND it once I knew the address because of the abovementioned stupidity).

I agree, though I will say UPS hasn't done anything too boneheaded with my stuff lately. I used to do shipping and recieving for a small company around here though, and you should have *seen* some of the stuff we got from them :Q We were lucky it survived.

Of course, the best one to come in wasn't from UPS; it was from a regular trucking company...CCX maybe? Big, Heavy-duty battery-powered wheelchair. That they *very* obviously dropped something even heavier on. It was all bent out of shape, and the driver still tried to pass it off

Ever since UPS bent a semi-rare rifle (long box bent about 30 degrees in the middle) I was being shipped I stopped using them. The damn thing was made of steel and wood, yet they somehow managed it.

Also, almost every box I every box I received was mangled in some way. With FexEx I have seen nary a scratch.

I forget which company it was, but I've had packages show up "out for delivery" on the tracking page, never show up, and the next time I checked, it was back at the distribution point because it was "too early for delivery". WTF?

Fedex doesn't always update the tracking as often as I'd like. So either it's really on the move and doesn't show it yet, or there is an issue with the info given to them

As someone who's worked in one of UPS's sorting facilities, I can say that I don't use them unless I have a ton of padding for the boxes. I've seen small stuff get tossed around on conveyor belts like crazy. (And it's not so much that the workers are being lazy/not taking due care, it's that at 12:30 AM when that first onslaught of packages comes down the ramp, there isn't much choice but to grab a box and toss it on the right belt behind you and grab the next one. Repeat until 3AM.)

Express Saver shipping FTW! Why Newegg ever switched to UPS ($$$$$) I'll never know. Seriously Newegg, is delivering a less desirable all-around shopping experience really worth the couple of bucks you save on shipping?
