Recently got all my new TV stand up and running (minus the DVD player aside from the XBox to be purchased in the future), and wanted to share it with all of you guys. Sorry about the crappy quality of the pics, they're from my combination camcorder/digital camera because my digital camera is in pieces (you can see it in one of my pics next to my monitor).

Subby subwoofer
Watching position
Sammy monitor

1- 50" DLP Samsung TV
2- 1 JBL Center Channel 2-way speaker (soon to be 3 way)
4- XBox w/Xecutor 2.2 chip in it
5- Main Rig (details in monitor box)
6- Cable Box (details in few of the pics)
7- My VAST assortment of movies, etc. Currently listed in a text file on the computer in the picture
8- 600 watt receiver, hooked to my equipment
9- 250watt 12" floor firing subwoofer
10- Control for surround sound, hooked up to receiver, along with the 2 main JBL floor standing speakers
11- The TV stand is new and matches perfectly 🙂

go for it, i have had that one since i was 18 (aside from the TV) and picked it up when i worked at BB for 31 days (have to work 30 days to get discount). at the time, every HT piece of equipment was the bets one they sold in the store, and yes i realize that doesn't mean much. but it does what i need it to do for now 🙂

when i get a house of my own i will upgrade then. come on dude im only 23 😛

I hate to brag, but I think I got you beat.

61" Sammy DLP
Sammy HD-931 DVD player
2 Infinity floorstanding center channel
4 QSC AD-S52 surrounds mounted on the wall
10" subwoofer in custom box.
Pioneer DD/DTS receiver
2400W QSC 2-channel power amplifier to power the center channels
3600W QSC 2-channel power amplifier to power the subwoofer (yes, those amps are overkill but I use them to throw parties also)

Other stuff: cheap mixer & mic for karaoke, 5-disc cd changer, two vcrs, modded ps2 w/ hard drive.

Soon to come: an 8-channel box with DSP and universal inputs for microphones, another power amp, and a standalone decoder.

Haha, I'm 23 too, I just got a home theater late last summer. I was a big fan of the DLPs until I figured that I didn't want to spend $300 every 8000 hours (assuming that the bulb lasts that long) to replace a new bulb. I got this instead:

honestly, i like the picture on the DLP/LCD's better than the pictures on the plasma TV's. I did a lot of personal research by going to different stores and seeing each tv in action, and i honestly thought the plasma tv's just didn't have that great of a picture. i noticed it just looked too pixelated and the colors seemed off, but again, it might be the stores i went to. not to mention the whole "flat TV" thing of plasma's is what is the neatest feature of them. the DLP's are light as shlt themselves and mine is about 13" deep at the max. i love it 🙂

and i KNOW the furniture is kinda whack right now 😛 i am in the midst of getting a new sofa right now as well. and YES i know I need to clean it up. i haven't really been around that much except for a quick hour when i ate and watched another epside of 24.

and those are dvdr spindles, ritek 8x g05's. and they are all burnt, i just don't have a place to put them right now 🙁

and for those of you who have better stuff, good for you 😛 I too one day will have better stuff than I currently have, but like i said, i'm not going to do major upgrades until I get my own place, and by that I mean i OWN my own place. my other tv was a 27" wega and I had always wanted a big screen so i went ahead and spoiled myself on my birthday this past november (just started working fulltime in september).
