I'm sure this has been covered before but I hate this company.

Price of ticket - 25.00
Convenience Charge- 8.35
Order Processing Charge - 4.00
TicketNow - 4.00 (all it does is let you print out your ticket instead of waiting for willcall)

Total Charges $41.35
 
wow, almost DOUBLES each ticket's price, that is INSANE. i hate them too, but sometimes they're the only option. TicketNow used to be $2.50. How gay is it to CHARGE to allow ppl to PRINT their tickets?! it's doing them a FAVOR b/c they don't waste their priting machines and stamps to mail it to you...argh
 
I feel the same way. I ordered tickets last week, and expected to have them already, but in their confirmation email, it stated "you will receive them with atleast 48 hrs before the show" ... why can't they just send it to me NOW? Especially with all those additional charges they add on PER ticket
 
It's so annoying (48 hrs. before? Why??) Usually I get mine about 5 days before, but still...

The fees wouldn't be AS tough if they covered the whole order, but for each ticket it's insane. They rape ppl w/ charges, the esentially have a ticket monopoly. I MUCH perfer places like eTix.com ($0.50-$2 total fees) or ConcertMaps is at least some better.
 
I never purchase through them. I'd rather drive to the place and get a ticket from the box office rather than pay their insane prices.
 
Yep, ticketmaster is EVIL. They are a big part of the reason I don't go to concerts. Well, that and the fact that I am broke and don't have the time to go 🙁

You would have probably saved a bunch of this money driving to the box office and buying them.
 
Join the club. I wrote a research paper about ticketbastard in college because they really pissed me off and I needed a subject. They squeeked by the Supreme Court (class action lawsuit I think) by one vote. They pretty much own most of the industry to the point where artists and promoters and venues are FORCED to use ticketbastard or they risk being locked out. If someone wants to hav e FREE concert a a venue that used Ticketbastard, then guess what... it won't be free.
 
i feel your pain

i had to use ticketmaster for sports tickets last season and the extra fees really hurt after awhile

That works good if the event is local.
I live in Long island and most events are in NYC, to drive or take the train in will cost you at least 12$

even local events most places will charge you to park at the event location just to buy stupid tickets.

everything is a rip off.
