School's got me down lately. I think this will be my hardest semester (3rd year, sem1). Everyday I come home early and I study, or do a lab, or a lab prep. On a good day, I manage to get in 1hr of excercise, 15 mins of TV and 20 mins of foosball. So that's life right now :(

And it'll only get worse. According to my calendar I will not have a proper rest until the end of December.

I can't wait til I am outta this hell hole and into a decent job. Right now I can barely imagine having seemingly countless hours of free time (not to mention money!).

Im at the library 8am-10pm. Welcome to my life. I sleep at 2-4A.M

Apparently I snore. Someone woke me up cause I was snoring too loud. In the library of course.

Every night as I am going to sleep, I think of a better life. I mean, this whole thing goes against everything I love. I love going for 50km bike rides, hiking for days though high mountains, bing with friends and having fun.

I barely get up in the mornings too. If I have class at 10, I set my alarm for 845, so I can convince myself to wake up by 930.

What's your major?

I know how you feel. I'm working full time, taking 15 hours of school, and driving 3 hours per day. It's hard.

Can't be any worse than mine. 7 classes, four of them APs, one is the yearbook staff, of which I am the editor-in-chief. My seventh period is Academic Decathlon so I stay at school until 5 each day. I also am running the Film Production Club at my school every Tuesday, in between shooting short films for other things and reading the occaisonal Joseph Campbell book in between. When I get home I have pretty much zero free time, but that hasn't got me down. I'm getting straight A's in all my classes and life is holding up. I think I'm going a bit crazy though. I hope I don't crack under all this pressure.

at my worst (between July 2002-February 2003), I was taking 20 some odd credit hours, working 45+ hours, and working out 1-2 hours a day/3-4 times a week. Don't worry bout it, you'll get through it. Just go out on weekends and drink away your troubles :p

I have a 20/100 average in a class.
The professor has a personal grudge against me. He criticized everything I contributed to class discussion and give me a sh!tty grade. I need that class as a requirement.

And then I have to tutor 3 hours/day, 3 hours of class, 1 1/2 hours of commuting.

When you get to university, you'll find out just how much worse it can get. Go into ECE in a more serious school. I remember my final year of HS quite fondly....

ANyway, I also forgot to mention my fscking job, which will get started soon too. 12hrs/week db development, though thankfully I work from home. Once I start on that, I'll ahve to give up sleeping in on satrudays and sundays...one fo the few pleasures I hav enow.

I am not sure how your credits work. I have 5 classes per semester. Tutorials, labs and lectures for the 5 classes add up to 27hrs/week. (For example, programming has 2lecs, 1tut, Digital Electronics has 3lecs, 1 2hr tur and a 3hr lab)

Don't even try comparing high school to college. Especially to those going after BS degrees.

That is absolutely nothing compared to college, especially if you go to a good school with really comeptitive students.

I know the feeling. I was working 40-48 hours a week and attending college full time last year. This summer was the worst! I was attending school all day and working midnights. I quickly burned out but luckily it was only for a month. The good thing about midnight security is that you have a lot of time to study, but that's if you can stay awake. I managed to get a B+ and a A which was nice.

So now I'm in the home stretch as this is my last semester! I onlywork on weekends now but I'm doing student teaching which is 5 days a week. I can't wait until Dec 17! That's when it will be all over and I'll have my degree. :)

21 credits (7 classes). All 4000 level (senior classes).

Interning at Morgan Stanley 3 days a week. Driving 1,5 hours each way to get there.

Agreed. Life sucks.

Seriously, the HW and tests here rip even the best students a new one. A's in high school are not hard.

Keep chugging, I'm going through a similar period - taking 18 credits and working 35-50 hours a week. I don't have time to spend with friends, I don't have time to work out, anything. It's insane. Just six more weeks.

If misery loves company, then I suppose I have plenty of both ;)

Anyway, I am off to bed to think about hiking through the rokes and scrambling up tall peaks. Just me, my backpack, my friends and the most glorious views the world has to offer. *sigh*
