I am looking for the thread "Words that sound dirty but arent"

I swear I searched every conceivable way and no luck. Can anyone find it?
 
You will probably hate hearing this from a relative newb.
If you cant find it with the search using "every conceivable way" than we cant either.
Unless you want to try google, and just accept returns from the domain 'forums.anandtech.com'.

Keep in mind that they regularily delete old threads around here. Especially if they were locked for some reason.

I made a very good post (awhile back) about living in California and wanted to find it so I could email a friend. No luck. Too old.

Errrr, they go in the archive and you just have to switch from the current posts to archive to find old posts. 😛

90 days or older are in the archive.
 
It would be better if they went back to listing by date rather than "by whatever doesn't seem to matter to the user"

There's a checkbox for that. I wish it wasn't needed though.

While under most circumstances you are correct, for this one you arent. I didnt search much at all, but needed to leave the impression that I had exhausted all possible combinations of words so that some bored person would come in here and find the thread I wanted.

If you just come in and ask for homework help, you are flamed horribly. If you find a way to re-word it, and make someone here find the answer thus making them think they are smarter than you are, it works out perfectly.

Awesome, never really noticed that before. Anyone know what the default criteria is? I havn't been able to figure that out yet.

Hit search and look very closely at the option....you can do it.

I DIIIIID IT SENIOR. I only got posts from back in Jan. And no posts in the Archives.
This is what I am talking about. Useful advice. Need it. Need it bad. And before anyone tells me to sit on my finger and rotate: I already did that too. Lots of fun. Didnt help.

EDIT: Is it possible I was being an evil little bastard (much like I am now) and they deleted my post entirely? Just to erase my presence from such a heated political debate.
