I abhor and detest the new IGN, did I also mention that I did'nt like it? What I loved about the old format was that it was easy to browse games by category and the editor's choice section was great as well. However with the new site, all the games are just dumped into one big section. So far I have'nt figured out how to browse games based on category and I don't think the editor's choice was carried over into the new format. Is it just me or did IGN do away with those features? If I somehow overlooked those sections then this rant has just fizzled out, but so far I have'nt found those features.

I haven't visited IGN in years and just logged on and wow it's different than I remember.

So where do you guys go for game reviews? I use gamespot sometimes, but I liked IGN's format (old format) better.

Go to Metacritic, in my book it's the best source of both so called "professional" reviews and "amateur" reviews, also you can browse and search by categories very easily, the final scores on Metacritic (if scores matters to you) are an average of the accumulation of both professional and gamer reviews.

That's the only place I go. It'll have reviews from a ton of people and you can pick and choose which one you want to read.

Metacritic and amazon or any other websites customer reviews. I never look at "professional" reviews for games anymore because the reviewers dont have a clue what theyre talking about or theyve been paid off by the publisher in some way.

I only look at professional reviews for hardware these days.

Metacritic or Gamestats. Any of the review compilers. Usually gives a pretty good idea of how good or bad something is because they're based on multiple opinions rather than just one person's.

Totally agree with OP. Cannot believe they made it so bland and useless.
