I'm down currently, not sure how long til I am back up. Telocity Tech cupport has a 45 minute hold before you talk to anyone. That and my Maxtor Hard Drive went out in my computer!!!!!

ARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Don't give 'em too big a piece of your mind. You'll need some to keep your web hosting business going. 😛

I just updated the jator.2y.net address to point to mika's, so anyone who is hard coded into my pproxy will now be able to get blocks from Mika. Sorry for the delay, didn't have access at home so had to wait until I got to work to make the change.

Oh so that's what happened.....

Well Jay thank you for your hard work and good luck. 🙂

Back up now. Unfortunately, Telocity is my only option here to get a static Ip for the time being (at a resonable price).

Just be glad that you have that option. I have Bellsouth currently, and don't have any option for any other DSL carrier. We have what is known as IFITL, which is commonly called fiber to the curb. While most people have a DSL modem, I have an RJ45 jack in my wall that connects me to the Bellsouth DSL network.

While this is nice and all, other carriers can't operate in this scenario, so Bellsouth is it. And they don't allow static IP's at all.

Just guessing, would Bellsouth be your carrier if you weren't using telocity? If so, the problem is probably with Bellsouth, not with Telocity. They have to rely on the provider just as much as you do.

Well, at least it is up for now! Have a good one!

Drak,

Yes, I have BellSouth as the carrier. And yes, I realize that Telocity is at the mercy of BellSouth. My major complaint is I had a ticket issued almost 2 weeks ago now, and they called my wife and didn't tell her anything other than if I was still having trouble to call back, and to call back I had to wait on hold for 45 minutes (tech support). When I called their billing department to see about a partial credit, I was on hold for 2 hours. A tad much if you ask me. 😉

That is unfortunate. Telocity used to have such a good rep in the customer service area. But, I have a few friends that have it as well, and they have described CS that has gone from good to really crappy over the last few months. I guess they aren't scaling very with all of the new customers that they are receiving. But, all in all, I am still very jealous of your static IP 🙂
