move south?

Yup. Hard to have much sympathy for you if you're living in central PA.

I like to visit snow, but wouldn't want it where I live.

ok, after work today i'll just pack up my stuff and move.

Don't act like the snow is a surprise, you've had no time to plan, and your only choice is to drop everything and move in five seconds. You knew all summer it would snow. You've known for as long as you've lived there. You've had ample time. It's your own fault, so stop whining. :Disgust;

Edit: Dammit! I wanted a disgust, and ATOT gave you a smiley! Ah well, you probably need one to brighten your day. Here's another: :D And a beer to help you through the cold months ahead:  Feel better?

Yeah, well, here in MN? We had 6" on the weekend, 3" on Tuesday, another 2-3" coming Thursday, and another 4-6" coming on Saturday.

I hate snow. Imagine my mood. Imagine the drivers. Hundreds of thousands of soccer moms in their SUVs who think they own the road, on their cell-phones, weaving in traffic while I am taking the safe pace of 30mph. God dammit I hate this place in the winter.

don't like your job? quit and get a new one.

while they seem like easy and obvious answers, those are pretty big events and are not always easy to do.

Snow is great when visiting say, Colorado; but sucks when living in Chicago. esp when you have to go into work regardless. On a Bus. By the lake. With 50 mph wind gusts.
Chicago sucks.

It has snowed here (Northern Alberta) a ton in the last couple of days. On Monday night I shovelled about 8" off of my walks and driveway, and last night I probably shovelled about 10"! Craziness ... the roads into work have been absolutely terrible.

Regardless, I'm looking forward to getting out on the cross-country skis, perhaps as early as tonight :)

I love snow, I love winter.

I hate the summer hot.

i hate the summer heat also.

So I assume you like Spring? (You hate the two extremes, and Fall is more cold than warm, so...)

Personally, I like every season. Spring is great for sports, summer is great for beaches/pools/hot chicks (Spring is also decent for the latter). Fall is great for the holidays and leaves, Winter is great for the holidays, skiing, snowboarding, sledding, snowball fights.

I love Fall too. My idea of the perfect temperature is somewhere in the 40s. Spring is always great because of the change.....and then the Summer hot sets in and I'm miserable for 4 months. I should live in Alaska.

The snow got me out of work today. I'll have to make it up later, probably in March, but right now I'm loving it. :)

snow ftl  especially for jobs like mine where we've got to be fully staffed 24/7.

it's pretty and all, right until you've got to dig your car out from under 6' of snow because some plow buried you in at 6 am, followed by a two hour drive to work because you can't go over 20-30 mph because the highways are so shoddy.

I'd move down south in a heartbeat if I could find a job that paid as well as mine does and had the same rock solid job security :)

heat >>>>>>>>>>>> cold

I've never had to work a triple shift stuck at work because it was too hot out for the next shift to drive into work.

I love the snow, the only thing I don't like about it is that it brings travel problems.

I got about 6 inches at my house in Wauconda, there's a little bit less at work (Deerfield.)

I frickin HATE traffic and my commute taking forever .... and I really hate when people slip/fall and then have broken bones and such ......

But, snow, otherwise, is OK by me. I don't even really care too much about the shoveling. (and yes, I use a shovel and not a snowblower)

I love the snow.

I miss snowmobiling. I need to buy a snowmobile and a trailer and get a hitch on my car so I can take it to the trails. But alas, I have no funds :(

Now that makes sense. It isn't easy to move. Here are two more beers for you:

(I still don't have much sympathy for you, though, just as you shouldn't have sympathy for me if I started complaining about Bay Area housing prices.)
