I hate San Francisco Giants Home Day Games

Gah. Drove in to work head towards my usually parking garage to see that my usual 6 dollar early bird parking had been replaced by a 20 dollar fee. I drive further down and see 30 dollar and 40 dollar parkings signs before it dawns on me... Giants Home Game.

So I drive a half a mile away park my car and walk to work. The game hasn't started yet. It's probably going to let out at 4-4:30, right when I get off work.

I'm looking forward to this commute. :|

It sucks to work across the street from the Ballpark. Who goes to/watches day games during the work week anyway?

At least it's only a ballpark. Within a couple of miles/kilometers of work, I have Skydome(Baseball, concerts and other a sorted crap) and the Air Canada Centre (Basketball, hockey and other crap). With my hours I get out just around the same time as an evening sports event finishes.

it's like that for any stadium across the country. you should see lots around here during laker games. hell one year i went to the usc/ucla game at la memorial and some lot had the friggin audacity to post a sign that said 50 bucks.

FIFTY BUCKS! was i ever glad i took the bus!

giants are only home 81 games out of the year, and what, 50 of those are day games? its not that bad.

gooooooooooooooo giants.

Tell me about it. Traffic absolutely blows after Giants home day games. I'm glad I moved to a house that is accessible from Bart last month, so I won't have to deal with that anymore.

If you're willing to walk, there's free parking all day long around the corner off 7th and Townsend.

Drive west on Townsend 'til you hit 7th, hang a left.

Thats where I parked today. I used to park there all the time but I got tired of walking/waiting for the bus in the afternoon.

SF is the like most expensive place to live in the US.

get a bike or skateboard or something

Unfortunately I live across the bay (in Berkeley). The commute only sucks when there is a game.

the RICH BASTARD CORPORATIONS who buy out huge number of season tickets and go to watch it. Giants crack me up. They practically sell out all of their home games (whether or not they are attended, is another matter) and most of their club tickets are sold and they still whine about their income and slash their payroll. CHEAP OWNERSHIP and they wonder why they have crappy non-cheering fans who only care about Barry Bonds and Jason Schmidt.

True baseball fans are over the bay in Oakland.
