i HATE road runner, and here's why

i must admit i know the guys pain!.. and i understand why he is bitching so much... yet he should switch services or maybe go back to dial up... it's a lot cheaper than paying for 4000ping rr
 
the cable in my area seems to be having problems, it always shuts down, and it was really slow for like a month. And they raised the prices!
 
Must be just where you live. I have Road Runner, and I haven't had a single problem - ever. In fact, they just increased my speed to 3MB downstream/256kb upstream (was at 1.5MB/256 before). I can't complain....
 
@home ain't much better for gaming either.. plus i get connection interupts all the time (very short short periods of time.. most likely crappy routers). but gosh damn the bandwidth is much better for the price than dsl 🙂
 
People seem to forget EVERYTHING sucks. DSL, Cable, Satellite, Wireless. It's all in how it sucks.

RADSL sucks due to restrictions in distance from the CO, and it goes over old copper.
SDSL sucks because of the above plus price.
Cable sucks because of the old copper, conversion to fiber optic, the requirement to modify the cable plant to allow upstream (which it was never intended for), and distance from the headend (yes, it's a factor).
Satellite sucks due to latency and restricted bandwidth.
Wireless sucks due to it insecurity and bandwidth.
