i hate power, stupid power going on and off last night

just make my 4th soooo much better... stupid power took out my computer, powersupply seems to be gone.

no idea what else might be gone, grr this could get costly.

and yes, i do have a surge protector, the only thing that went byebye is my computer
 
Get a UPS for your computers... they're not really all that expensive, and it's totally worth not frying your PSU.

Some surge protectors are CRAP. Make sure you get a quality one that offers a warranty.

On a lighter note, don't throw out your PSU just yet. I've had several PSUs that have started working again after a surge.

ups 1000 for FTW! it'll power your computer for 2hrs. heck, it powers my 20" TV for a few hrs

edit:
tv is 2amps. 2 x 120volts = 240. 1000/240 = 4hrs for my tv

yup, mine just decided to begin working again.

grr, it was a good reason to upgrade stuff too.
 
..ya. Well if we had more nuke power like europe, france and japan we wouldn't have that problem.
