I hate politics, could someone help

could anyone tell me quickly about John McCain's "strategy" for winning the nomination/and to win the election...

I don't really need any opinionated answers (so this wouldn't be P&N, I don't think, would it?), just stuff that maybe his staff has said or trends that have been noticed (like campaigning all over or something? unlike that Rudy guy?)

nothing too deep is required, just something to have a good idea
