I hate my job....

I thought I had a decent computer. P3 667 mhz with geforce 2 mx. Well we got a p4 1.7ghz computer in the office today to demo our software. Of course its got a geforce 3. Stupid me puts quake III on there to run some quick benchmarks. Without tweaking it was running 167+ fps with everything maxed out at 1024X768. The demo1 went by so fast it was amazing. Then I turned on 4x FSAA and it looked sweet as hell.

Now I have to sell my pentium and either get a p4 or an AMD gigahertz cpu and a better video card. This sucks.

our company produces sports simulation software. We're not supposed to play quake or anything, but I was working late and that new machine was real tempting.

Yeh I am thankful I have the job. I was laid off from a cush job in february. This one is okay, but I am hoping things improve so I can find something closer to home. Plus I was perfectly satisfied with my computer and wasn't going to spend a dime on it all year. Now I have to.
