I hate my hair. I have too much hair and it's too thick. What can i do?

My hair sometimes gets too bushy because i just have too many strands of hair on my head and the hair is thick and is somewhat frazzled. Is there anything product i can use to fix this? I want hair that is much much thinner and smoothed out.

Maybe 'frazzed' isn't the right word, but it gets a bit wavy. I hate wavy hair, i want straight hair :|

i also have really thick hari, it bugs the hell out of me. However, I have recently found an extremely good hair stylist, she takes care of it. THins it out whenever I get it cut and I love it. Just find a good stylist, expect to pay a bit, and tell her you want her to thin it out

Pull out what you don't want now and put it in a shoebox so you'll have it in a few
years when you really will need it

Heh, and here I wish mine was thicker Plus I'm starting to lose it... Have you tried just keeping it clipped short? A visit to the barber (or a trusted & talented friend with hair clippers) every few weeks could be the ticket.

I like to cut my hair like every 40 days. I'm just a cheap SOB. I'd rather use some sort of product to thin/smooth my hair out

barbers make fun of me my hair is so thick, so i cut my own hair. i havent found a product that will tame it. usually just shampooing every 3 days instead of everyday helps keep it less thick (i just rinse it with water)

I've got the same hair. It's straight as hell, very thick, and very dense. No matter how I comb it or what I put in it, it ends up eventually all going straight down, but is so thick that it's kind of raised a little. I think it's an Irish thing. I have to wear it super long so I look like one of The Beetles (I get "Are you British" comments all the time when I do this) or very short, but it grows so fast it's a pain to keep it short.

Cliff's Notes. You're screwed...cope with it.
