When my daughter is 17, or even 18 and still in HS, any 20+ year old in college WILL receive an ass-whipping, then be ordered to stay away from her if he wants to keep living.

Furthermore, any 22 year old that WANTS to date a 17 year old is a complete loser. Notice I didn't say "hit" the 17yr. old...I said "date".

There is no difference b/w a 17 and 18 year-old girl. Both are in highschool, both listen to Celine Dion, and both think the mall is a great place to hang out and meet guys. I'd say they don't start hitting there stride until the mid-twenties..

Then again, I prefer women that don't speak in monosyllables.

I'm glad to know that you're going to be giving ass-whippings to people who want to date your adult daughter. I would stay away from your daughter believing she may have inherited some of your barbarism.

What if he's a 20+ year old still in high school?

An 18 year old in HS living under my roof is NOT an adult, regardless of the law.

Then he's seriously a loser and she would not be seeing him. Of course, she'll think anyone like that is a loser on her own, so it wouldn't be a problem.
Plus, I don't think you can go to HS around here any older than 19.

You know.. the more you forbid something.. the more young people want to do it.. In this case, the 18yr will probably turn out to be a slut behind your back.. or grow up to be a porn store.. it never fails.. after all, you cannot watch them all the time...

I believe the age where you cannot attend public schooling anymore (regardless of graduation) is 21. I know my little brother, because of mental retardation, is scheduled to attend "High School" until he reaches the age of 21. I believe this same rule applies to all students. Thinking about it, 19 wouldn't work, because if someone fails one grade or they're held back and they were born at a certain time, they could easily hit 19 before they graduate.

I graduated high school at 17 and had a full time job. I dated alot guys who were at least 4 years older than me. I was very mature for my age (no one believed I was really 17, not even cops).

If she's over the age of consent then go for it.

I won't have to forbid anything of the sort. She'll have enough sense not to do such a thing in the first place. My posting in this thread only regarded a hypothetical situation that in reality is very unlikely to occur.

The only way you can be 19 when you graduate is by being held back for some reason...failing, sickness, etc. Otherwise, you're 17 or 18.
I think the maximum age you can go to school might vary from state to state. Don't know what the age limit in this state is.
20 probably is a reasonable limit...after all, you wouldn't want 21 year olds still going to HS, buying everyone liquor. ;)

This is your OPINION. The law says differently.
