I hate mosquitoes...

I got a couple of mosquito bites on my left pinky finger last night, and it's swollen enough today so that I can't bend it fully. If I try, it feels like it's going to rip open.

A little history - I'm allergic to mosquito "venom", moreso than most people. When I get a bite, odds are that the smallest it will get is swolen about the side of a quarter raised up about a quarter-inch off the normal level of the skin (on a flat surface). More often I'll end up with a lump about the side of a golfball or larger.

Ugh, I hate mosquitoes. And my wife wonders why I hate being outside.

Ah, here it is.

Keep in mind that my leg is less than 12" around at the thickest part.

Yeah, that looks about right. Sucks doesn't it? Especially when you get a bite on a joint (not the blunt kind you fools).

When I get bit it just kind of itches a little for a few minutes and then it goes away. Same with bee stings. I don't get poison ivy either.

I just bought this house that had a ton of bugs in the yard. I ended up buying a spray nozzle that goes ont he garden hose. I sprayed my yard with the pesticide and killed off most of what was there. I'm going to spray the backyard soon... 😉

I HATE mosquitos, but they only have a month or so left....if that.

Mosquito bites don't affect me at all. Not even the slightest redness or itching.

But I have the normal reaction to bee stings and poison ivy.

Be thankful you don't live here in Arizona where mosquito bites can be fatal.

So I don't have to be worried about West Nile here in Florida?
