I hate media player 11

Again I can't seem to get my music that I legally purchased to burn to a cd so I can listen to it in my car. I put the blank cd in but it still says insert blank cd. It will recognize cds that have something on them but not if they are blank. Then I can't get the cd back out unless I restart or use a paper clip. I want to burn it from media player but why can't I? I bet no one has an answer to help on this one. I did a google and nothing works.

Are you sure it's not your drive or media that's the problem instead of WMP 11? Can you get any other burning software to recognize the media you're trying to use?

Yes, I have tried all four of my dvd burners and it happens to all. I have tried various media and it happens to all. It won't recognize as an empty disc. I use other programs and they work and burn fine. I know I could use other software to burn but right now I want to use the WMP to burn so I can turn around and rip it back in to get the protection crap off so I don't lose any more songs to DRM corruption.

That's a horrible way to remove DRM. You lose sound quality.
