i hate macs

how do you eject a floppy in OS X?

[edit]
err you guys are missing my point, i really need to know how to eject a floppy disk.. this isn't the mac/pc thread. two stupid girls walked in and put the floppy in macs, not noticing the PCs. Now stupid me can't find out how to eject..

I've been using one of those G4 laptops lately with OSX and I have to say, as a lifetime Windows user, I have really enjoyed it. It's sleek, clean and easy. If there were as many programs/games for mac as for Windows, I would use it in a heartbeat.

Doing something as simple as ejecting a floppy disk should not be intuitive nor easy. A mechanical or electrical button on the drive would be too efficient.

did dragging the little disk icon to the trash work?
if not, you could always use a paperclip to spring the drive and manually get the disk out. but on older systems that tends to make the mac unhappy.

what kinds of macs are you running that have os x and floppy drives? or are they seperate?

there's no floppy disk icon on the desktop 🙁

To whomever asked - Beige G3s have floppy drives internally and can run OSX. So can pre-G3 macs upgraded with G3 and G4 CPUs.

Just reboot the computer - it will eject.
