I swear to god, I noew remember why I stopped watching local news...
This morning, the local CBS station news (happens to be the local channel that is on the TV when I get up) had a canned recorded report from yesterday afternoon, about the brushfires around the city. They had a LIVE on scene report, however, (at some RANDOM ass overpass) for the 'story' that our state ranked sixth most dangerous for teen drivers. How the HELL did that merit a LIVE reporter, but BEING SURROUNDED BY FIRE only merited taped crap????
The only reason I watch locla news any more is that there is nothing better on the national channels -- they have the same sacchrine crap at 5:30 AM PST, and my father gets up for work before I do, so I leave the same channel on. The newspaper usually hasn't arrived by the time I hit the breakfast table either.
I'm seriously considering putting TV shows on the HTPC and watching them in the morning.
