I swear to god, I noew remember why I stopped watching local news...

This morning, the local CBS station news (happens to be the local channel that is on the TV when I get up) had a canned recorded report from yesterday afternoon, about the brushfires around the city. They had a LIVE on scene report, however, (at some RANDOM ass overpass) for the 'story' that our state ranked sixth most dangerous for teen drivers. How the HELL did that merit a LIVE reporter, but BEING SURROUNDED BY FIRE only merited taped crap????

The only reason I watch locla news any more is that there is nothing better on the national channels -- they have the same sacchrine crap at 5:30 AM PST, and my father gets up for work before I do, so I leave the same channel on. The newspaper usually hasn't arrived by the time I hit the breakfast table either.

I'm seriously considering putting TV shows on the HTPC and watching them in the morning.

"I'm standing live...(in the pouring rain at 10:15 PM in the worst neighborhood in town)...where just 6 hours ago inside this building behind me, the council members began discussing a bill to hang traffic lights sideways instead of straight up and down. As you can see, the building is dark because they left four hours ago to go home. Sources say they are expected to return in the morning to finish discussions and make some kind of decision. We'll be here live when that happens. Back to you, John."

I love it too.

Huh?

I'm really confused.

I didn't sleep well last night, so my sarcasm unit is offline, but:

1. Sarcasm? Y/N
2. What does fox news have to do with a rant about...well...all morning news...specifically?

(BTW...I've looked at all the major news carriers in hopes of finding something saccharine free in the morning, and even MSNBC and CNBC have some sort of sh!tty morning show)

My point was that I don't like local news, instead I watch national news. My choice for this is Fox. :D

Ah. Cool, I get it now

But, yeah, at 5:30, IMO, even the stuff Fox shows is far too sugary for me.

<---NOT a morning person. :frown:
