It gets all of my music mixed up where windows media player puts everything together in the correct album order. Why does it suck so bad, is there something I'm missing here? Is there anyway to link my ipod to WMP instead?

I find iTunes music management to be the best of any MP3 player I've used. I can quickly find music by Artist, Album or Song title, and it keeps everything organized by the ID3 tags. It will even rearrange and keep an organized folder structure if I enable that feature.

I just cannot find the same quality in WMP11, Winamp or foobar. It's just too hard to navigate my massive music library. The only complaint I have with iTunes is that it can be slow, but I suppose thats because of its powerful library.

Yeah, that is the main problem, I listen to a lot of mixtapes. Well and it still gets tracks out of order. I never remember having this problem with WMP. I haven't used WMP in a while though. (haven't even touched the new version.)

I haven't had a problem with iTunes sorting anything that is properly tagged.

Christ, I just added a couple new albums. So I just went and hit "Add folder to library" thinking that it would just add the few new folders under that folder.....NOPE. I now have 90% of my music double listed...

I find iTunes+iPod to be the best integration and music management out there. Except that Apple apparently refused to test iTunes compatibility with any of the Windows Vista betas, so iTunes+Vista has some rather annoying glitches (cannot right-click on Taskbar block for iTunes, song corruption, etc.).

Wow its like a carbon copy of iTunes: http://www.jrmediacenter.com/i...s/Features/Tagging.jpg

anything but. they changed the appearance to go straight against itunes, but the comparisons stop there. jr rules all media players, hands down no question. period.

So it's open source, accepts EVERY music codec, and allows for plug-ins?
