my gf bought a scooter on ebay and the motor doesnt work at all.... we were able to get the company to refund both the original cost and shipping AND the cost of shipping it back... so that kinda helps diminish the frustration

I hate it when people buy something and have to bitch about it not working like it's a giant conspiracy against them just to make their life more difficult.

Not everything that is built can be made perfectly or checked 100% at the factory. It happens. Just return it.

I think you took my complaining a little out of context. Anyway, I managed to fix the crown with a little fiddling, so I don't think I'll bother returning it now.
