No, she's a great friend (got me a good job and is setting me up with a friend of hers) but I'm not attracted to her, even though she's attractive. Does that make sense? I'm a cynical, mean spirited dick and she's a flower power, hippy. Sweet enough and she means well, but she talks to trees.. I don't talk to trees.. We can't date, ever. As a friend, i could make fun of her without hurting her feelings, if we dated .. well.. we'd piss each other off 24/7.

SHE TALKS TO TREES! She literally talks to trees! Again, I think she's a lovely person but I would not date a girl who talks to trees.

What's so bad about people who talk to trees? Have you ever tried it? No? Then don't judge. Does she like, talk at the trees or like have full on conversations with the trees, or does she play herself and then voice the tree? It's not so bad if she just talks at the tree "Tree, you're so cool, I want to hug you". That's funny. Now if it's like

"How are you today tree?"
*tree voice* "I'm good, a little cold how about you?"
"Yeah, me too, I think I want to hug you"
*tree voice* "Oh yes, hugging is tree-licious!"

That's weird, with or without the tree voice.

She stares at trees. I ask her what's up and she says - we're having a conversation, without words. It's weird, man. i'm really, really too cynical to deal with that on a daily basis when it's not a friend - a friend I can make fun of, poke fun at. anything else and she'd be insulted. i kinda had a thing for her until I realized just how fruity she is. Now, again, I think she's a lovely person and has gotten me jobs and has introduced me to many wonderful people. but i'm just too sarcastic and cynical to ever get along with her romantically, without lying. And I don't like to patronize girls, even cute ones. Come on, you've never met someone you thought was cute yet you just don't find her personality romantic/attractive? Like I can shoot the sh1t with her but can't imagine dating someone so.. odd.. i'm odd, duh, but i'm odd in a way that would annoy her and vice versa.
