70's porn was amazing, except for the prevalence of gigantic bushes. There was definitely a lot more of a "movie" feel back then. Most porn is just simply terrible because the people shooting it have no fucking idea what they're doing:

Cut scenes where they change camera angles every five seconds.
Handheld cameras where the guy filming keeps tilting the camera.
Extreme close ups. If you have a beautiful actress, show her on the screen.
Reaction shots of the guy's face. Seriously, there is no reason whatsoever to do this.
Excessively formulaic sex, where first she sucks on him, then he goes down on her, then they go through several positions, and he cums on her face. And every scene in the movie is like this.
Cameramen who decide for no known reason to zoom in on her foot, or his arm, or some random body part that is completely irrelevant.
Lots and lots of spitting. It's just not attractive.

It's like they purposely try to make this stuff bad.

Sometimes the reaction shot is funny and it improves the scene, but a lot of the time it's just disturbing and a huge turn off.

Some people really really need money, and sometimes they happen to be 18.

I remember one of those "horrors of porn" threads about a star named Emily X. If you look closely, you can see what look like self-inflicted cut marks on her arms. Girls like that do porn when they are 18.

Some of the youngest girls I've ever seen in porn were in the exploited college girls and backroom casting couch videos.
