I had the same trouble in the beta and final. jerkyness using the mouse wheel and having it show the page as done when it didnt even start to load. A typical MS product that works half ass in some machines and flawless in others.

I've been running IE 5.5 since the fall of '99 in various beta iterations. Never had any problem with either build and do not have a problem with the final release in Win2k.
