I hate Hewlett Packard

Hewlett Packard Has some of the worst laptops I have ever had the displeasure to work on.
let's all share our hatred for HP
Could you be more specific instead of straight away mentioning HP is bad?
I have an HP laptop at home, altough it went slow due to HDD ageing, applied an SSD and it runs like butter on a hot pan.
Altough HP is not my favourite, I wont classify them as bad atleast, expensive they are but bad no.

I agree as long as it is one of the business models. Consumer grade not so much. Of course this is true of all manufacturers, Dell, HP, Lenovo and so on. That is why I only buy business model notebooks.
I gave my niece a used off-lease Grade A ProBook 440 G3 laptop about five years ago and it has been great, still rocking (managed to get a new battery from HP as part of that large HP battery recall).

HP consumer laptops tend to be slightly worse than Dell or Lenovo, as far as receiving a very short active support window for BIOS, driver, and app updates. I've seen dozens of fairly higher-end Pavilions with all these bells and whistles, Beats Audio nonsense, some even with AMD or NVIDIA dGPU, that got like one or two BIOS and driver releases within the first year after the model launch and then nothing.

I have no major issues with any of the main vendors Enterprise focused laptops. Latitude, Elitebook, zBooks, X Series are all solid units that get supported for years with updates and drivers.

My current corporate laptop is a zBook Firefly G7, and it’s been very solid.

Just updated. A second hand HP Elitebook 830 G5 i7. ebay had 15% off and HP Australia still didn't want to give me an ETA for when the Ryzen 6000 HS would land in the country. Whacked a Samsung 980 Pro in there and its all good. At least until next year when the first specials on the Ryzens gets going 🙂

Do love the fact that a simple screwdriver will allow you to replace pretty much anything.
