I hate going to dress up things

Sorry, but I really hate getting dressed up in suit and tie and jacket and going to "gatherings" and such. Its just a thing with me.

Like, company parties and such are horrible. I just hate going to them. Is this me only?

hell, i even hate wearing business casual stuff. stuff with collars and ties always feels like its choking me and i can't stand it.

Not really. If i could go in jeans and a t shirt I wouldn't mind going at all. Its the whole dress up thing.

Not necessarily. As I said in response to the "Is it normal to have no friends", I can't stand insincerity on any level. Social events are generally inherently insincere. I understand that some people enjoy them and derive stimulation and entertainment from them, I don't. Much like reality television, these events and the posturing and insincerity that goes on at them make me uncomfortable.

I much prefer intimate gatherings of a few people, the chance for maningful interaction is exponentially greater the fewer people involved IMO.

Exactly! I HATE reality TV. And I just hate getting together with people I will never see again, or people I work with.
