I hate glasses

I got glasses because of an astigmatism I have in my left eye. It isn't bad but it is enough that it was causing eyestrain since my right eye had to work harder. Yeah, clear lens on the right side, minor correction on the left. Only used when I'm on the PC for a long time or doing a lot of reading.

Well it is supposed to be clear, these stupid things attract dirt and smudges like nothing else. I'm constantly cleaning them off. I hate these things, sometimes I find myself just using the PC without them half the time because I'm sick of cleaning them all the time.

I don't know how people who wear them all the time put up with them....

You get used to it after a while.

When I used to wear glasses, there would be periods where I don't clean my glasses for a period of two days or so. Not because I was lazy or anything, it was just that you don't notice the dirt after a while.

You forget it's there after like 10 years. Cleaning them becomes a subconscious thing that you do without even taking note.

I'm too impatient to wait 10 years :p

Just seems a pain, they are supposed to make me see better but half the time its worse because of a smudge or whatever.

Of course I think part of the problem is I forget I'm wearing them and then I go to rub an itchy eye and splat another smudge :frown:

I wash mine with hand soap (not liquid - solid), wipe water with clean, dry towel.
Dust gets wiped with dry, clean cloth shirts in wardrobe.

Probably, because they really shouldn't get dirty too often :)

I have been wearing glasses for about 5-6 years now and I must say...

I hate the damn things, i'm going to the optometrist to get some contacts so I don't have to bother with glasses anymore.

Supposedly I look better without them anyways :D.

Multicoated (aka "antireflective") lenses attract dust and fingerprints MUCH faster, FYI.
